Only in Alicante for a day? No problem. This is the best way to see Alicante

If you are planning a visit to Alicante this Summer then be sure to take a trip around this exciting and truly Spanish City.

About 10 years ago Alicante used to be the city that you would fly into and then you would make your way from Alicante to the rest of the Costa Blanca. Alicante wasn’t thought to be ‘for the tourist’.

This isn’t the situation any longer. Alicante has really worked hard to change and develop and ’show-off’ its attractions to the millions of visitors that fly into Alicante every single year. This work is now really starting to pay off. Alicante has so much to offer its visitors that you cannot possibly see all that the city has to offer in a day.

If a day is all you have however, then the best way to see the city is to jump on the Alicante tourbus. It starts its journey at the Marina, which is situated adjacent to the main beach Playa del Postiguet - it actually leaves from the Plaza del Mar. From here you can pick up the bus and be whisked around Alicante getting off and getting on at any of the 10 stops for no extra cost.

There is an audio accompaniment to your journey which is in 5 different languages and from this bus you can get a good appreciation and feel for this beautiful city of Alicante.

For only 10 euros per child and 5 euros per child this offers fantastic value.

Once you have had your tour of the city,  have orientated yourself and are back at the start of your journey, I would recommend that you walk to the Santa Barbara Castle.

Take the lift up through the rock into the Castle itself and from here you can see the whole of Alicante. There are truly       wonderful views from up here and you really mustn’t miss them.

Because you have been on the tour bus you will be able to see where you have been and possibly appreciate how much more of Alicante there is if you only had a bit more time……..
