Tabarca Island Alicante

Looking for a great day out in Alicante?

We can recommend hoping on a ferry and going out to see Tabarca Island. It is approx 1 hour away from Alicante and it promises to be a fun day out for everyone whether you are young and old.

Tabarca Island Video - a snapshot

Tabarca Island is a marine reserve with a great beach, lovely restaurants, interesting buildings and despite being an Island it has a fascinating history.

There is only one beach at Tabarca Island which can get quite crowded over the summer season but if you wander away you can find your own little cove. The beach and coves offer opportunities for ‘cove-jumping’.  You can jump off the coves into the sea. You can also snorkel and admire the wonderful sea-life that surrounds this beautiful island.

For those that don’t fancy throwing themselves 20 foot into the sea you can walk around the island in about an hour and a half and you can visit the buildings that date back to the 18th Century.

For more information about Tabarca Island why not visit our main site where we have full information about the beach, the history of the island, the hotels and restaurants and how to get there.

If you do visit Tabarca Island on your next visit to Alicante I can promise that you won’t be disappointed.
