A to Z of an Alicante Holiday
A – Alicante. The gateway to the Costa Blanca. Alicante has everything for a great holiday
B – Beaches. Alicante has lots to choose from. Try a new one every day of your vacation.
C – Cooking? Let someone else do it! Eat out at restaurants and cafes. Relax and let someone else do all the hard work.
D – Digital cameras are a must. No traveller should be without one. Capture the breathtaking views of Alicante from the imposing Castle.
E – Excitement! Holidays are all about excitement. Add excitement by visiting Terra Mitica theme park or Aqualandia.
F – Festivals. Spain is famous for its Fiestas. Try and get to one if you can. The local Tourist Information office can give dates.
G – Golf. The Costa Blanca has beautiful and challenging golf courses. Why not stay on a golf course in Alicante and take in a round or two?
H – Hangovers…… too much alcohol mixed with the Costa Blanca sunshine and you are heading for an almighty one.
I – Ice Cream. Yummy…. Cool yourself down with a Spanish ice cream.
J – Journey to other villages. Be adventurous, go off the beaten track.
K – Kids love the Costa Blanca…….beaches, sea, theme parks, water parks, amusements, mini golf. The Costa Blanca has loads for kids.
L – Language. Learn and use some or a little Spanish. It is a beautiful language. ‘Please’ and ‘thank you’ will go a long way.
N –Nudist Beaches. Yes, there are some around Alicante.
O – Olives. My favourite snack sare the huge Spanish Olives.
P – ‘Peret’s‘ is a legendary seafront kiosk on the Alicante Esplanada. Try their infamous tiger-nut milk drink
Q – Quiet time. Sit on the terrace with a glass of wine or a cold lager and just listen to the children playing, sounds of waves and holiday laughter.
R – Read all about Alicante before you go to ensure you are well prepared for your holiday.
S – Suntan Lotion. Don’t forget it. The Costa Blanca is hot, hot, hot.
T – Tapas. Small portions of food served with your drink. Typically Spanish.
U – Unpack as soon as you arrive. Put on your bikini and dive straight into the pool to cool down.
V – Vegetarians are catered for in Spain. I am one and never have a problem ordering interesting and tasty food.
W – Water. Make sure you drinks lots of it and take it everywhere with you.
X – Xativa is a historic town. Visit Tuesday or Thursday to see the market.
Y – Yecla is an hour from Alicante. Is the largest up and coming wine denominations of origin.
Z – ZZZZZZ. You’ll need lots of sleep after your busy holiday to the Costa Blanca!
