Top 10 Costa Blanca Beaches
Costa Blanca is blessed with beautiful beaches and here is a run down of my favourite 10 beaches.
Playa de Venecia, Gandia-Playa
This is an immaculate golden beach that has play areas for children, all important showers, restaurants and cafes and lifeguards.
Playa de San Juan, Alicante
Lovely stretch of fine sand. Every tourist facility is here.
Les Aigues Blanques, Oliva
There are miles of beaches at Oliva and this one is the largest and best equipped.
La Granadella, Cap de la Nau
This is a tiny pebbly cove accessed by a narrow road which twists and turns down to this beautiful bay. Couple of cafe bars.
Les Rotes, Denia
Pebbly stretch of rock pools. Good amenities with restaurants and cafes.
Portitxol, Cap de la Nau
Looks out over Portitxol a tiny island. There is a viewing point which offers amazing views. Cafe bars and lifeguard.
Dunas del Guardamar, Guardamar
Rarely crowded even in Summer. Windswept, beautiful dunes. Walking trails and picnic spots. Few snack bars.
Playa de Poniente & Playa de Lavante, Benidorm
Despite its reputation it has a beautiful golden arc of sand. Immaculate and superbly equipped. Lots for children. Every amenity a family needs.
Calblanque
Secluded coves, cliff walks, golden beaches. Few amenities. Take care as there can be strong currents.
Playa de Bolnuevo, Bolnuevo
Sleepy resort. Good facilities including cafes and restaurants. Beautiful long and sandy beach.
Is your favourite here? Which beaches do you think should be on this list?
In order to visit each of these wonderful beaches you will need to hire a car. We have put together loads of useful information about Alicante Car Hire. Including how you can ensure you don’t get caught out with additional charges that the car hire companies add once you reach the desk.

Glad to see Playa de Bolnuevo in there … one of my favourites.
